Dating back to the 13th century, this majestic castle complete with keep and towers used to be surrounded by a large moat supplied by 2 sources. Access was assured by way of two drawbridges. In 1875 the castle was purchased by a rich industrial magnate who restored it in such a way as to affirm its Renaissance style.

It was accorded the title of the best restoration in France.
